About NQI Membership

KEBS National Quality Institute (NQI) Membership Scheme overall objective is to promote quality professionalism in Kenya by registering quality practitioners and providing opportunities for continuous development.

Entrench a culture of quality in the Kenyan society.

Promote networking and exchange of quality related knowledge, experience and information.

Promote standardization.

Educate and inform the members on the trends in quality.

Encourage quality related research and innovation

Categories of Membership

Individual Membership Category	Eligibility
Fellow	The Fellow grade is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated a substantial achievement or contributed greatly through individual effort to knowledge and practice of quality. Note: This grade is by invitation only.
Full Member	For professionals with demonstrated education, skills, training and experience in quality or whose key discipline or main focus of work is quality. Has at least 3 years’ experience in quality related activities Evidence of continuous professional development Trained in the relevant current standards or business improvement-related qualification
Associate Member	For professionals who are actively engaged in, considering a career in, or apply specific aspects of quality Has at least 1-year experience in quality related activities Evidence of continuous professional development Trained in the relevant current standard or business improvement-related qualification
Affiliate Member	Persons who have an active interest or considering a career in quality or other management systems, but have yet to demonstrate the competences and experience required for Associate membership A student member upon graduation.
Student Member	Students in Institutions of higher learning who have interest in quality or other management systems/ business improvement-related fields.
Quality Firm	A registered company with a certificate of registration or incorporation. A valid Certified Quality Practitioner for the principal shareholder. Active Full member of NQI.

Membership Fees and Payments

The membership fees shall be as per the table below:

Please Note:

All participants who complete KEBS lead auditor open courses will automatically become NQI Membership upon application, where KEBS will waive initial registration fee and the participants will be required to only pay the annual renewal fee.
Late renewals will attract penalties (renewals after 30th March)

Confirmation of membership shall be through a membership certificate.

In line with the government’s directive to digitize all payments for improved revenue collection and service delivery, all KEBS payments must now be made exclusively through the eCitizen platform.
